Professor Purwanto works at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro in Semarang, Indonesia. Purwanto graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Universitas Diponegoro and a master's and doctorate in process engineering from INPL Toulouse, France. His current projects are green chemistry, green engineering, eco-industrial park, waste-to-product, hazardous substance and waste management, electrochemical technology, and information systems. Currently, he is the Head of Green Technology Research Center.
