N2 - Electrical vehicle technology in Indonesia has been well developed. Electric vehicles can reduce the pollution produced by oil-fuel vehicles and reduce negative impacts in the economic sector. PT. BF Goodrich Investment Indonesia is a company that sells electric motorcycles in Indonesia. That company has some problems with the battery charger and swelling of sealed lead acid batteries used to supply electric motorcycles. The charging voltage used in the battery charger at PT. BF Goodrich Investment Indonesia is too high and causes overcharge to the battery. This phenomenon causes the sealed lead acid battery to swell over time. In this research, researchers will identify that problem and do the 60 V 20 Ah sealed lead acid battery charging tests with a charging voltage of 69 V and 70,5 V using the CCCV (Constant Current-Constant Voltage) method. The result from this research is charging the 60 V 20 Ah sealed lead acid battery using the charging voltage of 69 V and 70,5 V can make the battery life longer because there is no overcharge when charging the battery. This is because the battery voltage when the charging process can increase up to the setting charging voltage. Based on that, a charging voltage of 2,3 V to 2,35 V per cell can be implemented for charging the sealed lead acid batteries.
